A great detective novel with romantic sparks! Detectives Gerard and Kensington have become an effective team as they work together for the NYPD. Their challenge is to solve the latest multiple murder. Throughout the search for evidence a romantic interest takes root and introduces another layer of intrigue to the already suspenseful narrative. I was at the crime scenes, in the hospital and at the police station. I know I was in the court room as the evidence was presented because I would recognize the defendant's lawyer were we ever to meet. It is a rare author who can make the reader so engrossed that he lives the story. I hope there is a sequel in the works!

It was fun to watch the sparks fly between them. You can't help but root for both of them. But perhaps my favorite character is 12-year-old Max, a kid who has to deal with the clash between conscience and curiosity. I'm ready to adopt Max.

Whoa!! I'm a voracious reader, so when I heard K. T. was releasing a new mystery, I couldn't wait to download it. This author never disappoints!

Tate Kensington has some history of romance in the department so she is hesitant to yield to her homicide partner, Zach Gerard. There is the villain of course, one worthy of being despised. Then there is a boy named Max with ambitions of being a cop one day like his dad who just happens to be Tate and Zach's boss. As another reviewer said, if you like Law & Order, you'll like The Last Witness for the trial after the arrest is part of the story. The boy, Max, reminded me of a modern Tom Sawyer. A daring youngster with a streak of conscience, he struggled to balance against his need for adventure. This mystery touches all the bases: an investigation, a villain, a dash of romance and a pinch of humanity. You'll like it. I did.

This well-plotted and well-written mystery grabbed me from the first page and didn't let go until the last word. I loved and (maybe even important) completely believed in these characters. Gerard is the macho male struggling to walk the tightrope between protecting his partner and interfering in her life. It was fun to watch the sparks fly between them. I’m new to the books by K.T. Roberts and thrilled that I found them. Her main characters are written with compassion and relatable human flaws. She takes us on a compelling ride of a classic detective “who done it”. This book is the first in a series. I’ve just ordered book 4 and can’t wait to start reading!

Meanwhile, Jessie's working her own cases and learning about a new field, but missing Zach as her partner. Despite the difference, concurrent subplots have a way of revealing long buried secrets, which the pair bounce off one another. This made for an amazing story that kept me in suspense from start to finish. It was hard to put down because I wanted to know what was going to happen next. Three cheers for K. T. Roberts. I can't wait for the next novel. Keep 'em coming!

The story begins with a young boy witnessing the death of his father who's been shot while working in his home office from a stray bullet that comes through the window. There's been a shootout between the gun runner neighbors and the ATF. The son is certain it's his fault the father was killed because he thinks the neighbors saw him spying on them when they loaded guns into a vehicle.

ELUSIVE JUSTICE is a well-structured police procedural with two sharp detectives who know how to get the job done. They share a romantic history that caused them to join different precincts. Jess is in Missing Persons--Zach is still in homicide. This, in and of itself, takes on a life of its own and makes for a great detective novel.

City Island, New York a quaint New England fishing village, murder doesn’t happen here. Romance for Zack and Jessie when in your thirty’s was great, living together was a no, both to set in ways. Got new partners In their jobs and both having trouble with them. A friend confided in Jess about her 4-year-old brother missing, and the guilt she has, A good flowing plot, about family and friends, and one feels like you know them. Good series.

I found this book engaging. The story has great twists. The characters are believable and amusing. It's easy to grow attached to each one of them. You'll feel with the characters...frustration, anger, tears, love. It's all in there. Elusive Justice is very well written. I'll always wonder about Lucas... It is a page turner, and enjoyable read for sure! Don't pass this one up! Loved the characters and how vivid they felt throughout the story. It is written in a way you can picture the scenes. Love books like that. The ending was such a surprise, yet KT Roberts is good at that!

Loved the story line with all the characters! KT Roberts has such an incredible talent to bring such intriguing characters to her stories. Loved this one with Mallory, AJ, and the family unit. It is such an uplifting book. Look forward to many more books from this author.

What's better than a story with murder, mystery and romance. Join 3 sisters as they head to their hometown for their school reunion and get tripped up in a murder investigation. Amateur sleuthing and shenanigans ensure as they try to solve the mystery and murder while trying to avoid the local cops who have warned them to stay out of the investigation. Full of colorful characters and lots of adventure this is an incredible story and I highly recommend it. This Cozy Mystery is a fun read!

This is a GREAT mystery with a mature love story full of romance with a sweet guy and a strong woman that gets her tough job done.
